"Bend it Like Beckham" and "Bride and Prejudice" director Gurinder Chadha’s new comedy "It’s a Wonderful Afterlife" has been selected to premiere at next year’s Sundance Festival that starts on January 21.

The movie stars Shabana Azmi, Goldy Notay, Sally Hawkins, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Zoe Wanamaker and Jimi Mistri. Shabana Azmi is set to play Mrs. Sethi, a frantic North-Indian mother who is desperate to find a son-in-law for her overweight daughter.

The funny flick was shot in London and will hit theaters in the U.K. on April 2 next year, before coming to India and Pakistan on April 16.
