Has Vidya Balan been replaced by Kangana Ranaut in Ekta Kapoor’s next?

Post the success of ‘The Dirty Picture’ Vidya had become a hot favorite amongst Balaji Films; after all she did give Ekta her biggest hit till date. Now the producer plans to take her success to the next level with a big project titled 'Shootout at Wadala'.

Of course Ekta was planning to work with her Silk again, but reports suggest that Vidya hasn’t really given her producer the time of the day, which is why another bold star, Kangana has been roped in.

Here’s a little insight into the brand new project, which is sounding completely opposite to Ekta’s last, ‘It’s an underworld film to be directed by Sanjay Gupta, also stars John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor in lead roles. Kangana’s role is based on a real-life character and much against the glamorous roles we have seen her in the past, she has a performance-oriented part in this shootout saga and will be paired opposite John.’
