Kanye West apologizing for acting like a spoiled brat? No, that just doesn't sound right. Has our favorite rapper turned auto-tune singer finally grown up?
In a recent interview Kanye West admits to immature behavior and that losing at the Grammy's would not disappoint him at all. "After losing my mother, there's nothing else that I could lose", said West. Kanye West talks about it being a blessing for him just to be at the award show and how winning so many awards early in his career spoiled him making him act the way he did.
Wait a minute! This isn't the Kanye West we know.
Kanye West likes to throw tantrums and blame his losses on other people and only thank himself after winning. I thought Jesus always walked with him. He could at least give him thanks. But recent events such as the loss of his mother this past winter during complications in her plastic surgery and the break-up with former fiancé Alexis Pfeiffer seem to have left Kanye West a changed man.
And in regard to his fan's thoughts on his decision to sing on 808's and Heartbreak he had this to say. "On this album I might have lost some rap fans, but what I gained is a new perspective on life and just the ability to do what you want". Kanye West encourages listeners to do what they want. "Do what makes you feel good and if people want to award that, it's cool".
Kayne West has 6 Grammy nominations competing with his friend Lil Wayne who's been nominated for 8. I bet some of you were waiting for Kanye West to lose it on his "so called buddy". But it doesn't look like we'll be seeing that side of him this year. We'll have to watch the Grammy's to see if he's truly got his act together.
