Bollywood actress Lara Dutta is next in line to grace the cover of People magazine. After Sonam Kapoor in October and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in November, it’s the "Blue" star’s turn to turn heads in the December issue! Lara presents her "Guide To Looking Fab," but ironically, she doesn’t look so fab herself! In comparison to her fellow B-town beauties Sonam and Ash, Lara looks like a bored housewife with stripy hair.

This comes as a surprise as she has been working hard to fit into her role as Mona in Anthony D'Souza’s new movie "Blue" with Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Zayed Khan. At the time, the "Do Knot Disturb" actress said that she needed to overcome her fear of swimming in order to get the part:

"The moment I got to know of it, I called Akshay and told him that I wouldn't be able to accept the assignment. He knew the reason behind my decision. When I reminded Akshay I couldn't swim, he told me to forget my phobias and learn swimming pronto."

Sounds like quite a challenge to us! Learning how to swim must be much harder than losing a few pounds like Rani Mukherji did for her fit comeback in "Dil Bole Hadippa," or getting rid of some excessive makeup like Kareena Kapoor did for the Bollywood remake of the 1998 Hollywood film "Stepmom."

So how come all the hard work didn’t pay off? While we can’t say for sure why Lara Dutta still looks quite lame on the celeb mag’s cover, despite trimming her body by swimming, we think a different outfit and a new hairdo would have helped!
