If you bought a ticket to the 50 date tour of London that Michael Jackson is slated to have this summer, then you might want to check on the return policy of that ticket just in case.  The tour is in danger of not even making it to the first tour date on July 8.  We've All Good Entertainment, a tour booking company that has closely worked with Michael Jackson in addition to his sister Janet Jackson and the Jackson 5 in the past, have handed out a cease-and-desist letter to the new group of people organizing Michael Jackson's concert. 

In November, 2008, Frank Dileo, Michael Jackson's manager, signed a deal promising that Michael would appear with his family on tour.  Now the catch to this deal was that he couldn't make another concert deal for 18 months.  Michael Jackson then subsequently signed on for the London concerts.  No one knows when, but it was clearly within that 18 month grace period.  The defense Michael Jackson's camp has is that Michael himself did not sign the contract.  However, it is confirmed that Dileo did, and depending on where you are, an agent or manager can sign on behalf of his client.  If this situation falls under that ruling, The O2 Arena in London will be without the King of Pop.

Fans can't get too caught up with the legal mumbo jumbo that occurs.  It happens all the time with any and every artist.  It's too bad that legalities have to get in the way of what could be a very big event, but I guess it's just part of the business sometimes.  Whatever their issues are, they shouldn't have to deprive the million or so people who purchased a ticket to see Michael Jackson perform perhaps for the last time.  If lawyers are going to get aggravated over this, then imagine the chaos that would result from a million plus people wanting their hard earned money back for a show that wouldn't even happen.  I'm all for honoring a contract, but let's just hope these issues are ironed out prior to the beginning of the tour.
