Music director Pritam hopes to recreate the "Hera Pheri" magic with the songs in "De Dana Dan." Teaming up with the AD Boys and RDB, "De Dana Dan" promises a few catchy tunes that will make a great start for this comedy. Akshay Kumar and Pritam have given us great soundtracks this year so let's see if these two will add any more dazzling effects in the music.

What We Think
The soundtrack contains seven songs and five remixes. The album starts on an unlikely note with the soft and breezy romantic number "Rishte Naate". The tune is as conventional as Bollywood melodies can be - but it is refreshing to hear singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan give his Sufi style a break. U.K. group RDB comes in the scene with their latest track "Paisa." With vocals from Manak-E and Selina, the track is catchy but predictable so expect this number to be in the top of the charts. The album goes back into a soft, romantic mood with "Gale Lag Jaa." It's a stylishly arranged track sung sensuously by Alisha Chinoy with Javed Ali getting better with each song. "Baamulaizaa" has a lot of festive sounds going on with a carnival feel coming out of Pritam's work in "All The Best." Mika Singh, Domnique Cerejo, and Style Bhai mix every conceivable international hook in their voices resulting in a mishmash going nowhere. The Desi mix version brings the better of the track. Next up is Sunidhi Cahuhan's item number "Hotty Naughty." This one is heavy on the hip-hop, reggae side with Pritam's signature all over it.The AD Boys end the album with the title track that has an energetic composition that suits the slapstick nature of the movie.

Final Verdict
"De Dana Dan" does not set the same mark as other chartbusters this year like "Dil Bole Hadippa" or "Tum Mile." "Paisa" sounds like the only potential chartbuster but the rest might pick up as soon as the film comes out.
