"Paa" is a film with an unusual story. South Indian composer Ilayaraja has come up with some tunes that relate to the movie's theme. With a film starring father-son duo Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, you can expect some pretty heartwarming tracks.
What We Think:
The album contains seven ordinary tracks, so don't expect any dance numbers on this soundtrack. The album starts with "Mudhi Mudhi Ittefaq Se," a simple melodious track sung beautifully by Shilpa Rao. The track has been in the film's promo numerous times, so you can anticipate that this will be an instant hit. The track has two versions: "Udhi udhi," an extension of the original and "Gali Mudhi" by Shaan. It has a slower pace but it is equally enjoyable. The next song, "Halke Se Bol," is a short kids track that has a chorus with some simple music. This track comes in a "Paa Themed Remix" with lots of good melodies. "Hichki Hichki" is a situational fast-paced number that doesn't impress too much, especially with the vocals of Sunidhi Chauhan. "Mere Paa" is more of a theme song that catches your ears when you hear Amitabh's childish voice, so get ready for a surprise. The final track "Gumm Summ Gumm" is sung by the composer's daughter, Bavatharini, with more support from the chorus. The song has the essence of jazz music.

Final Verdict
We didn't expect the music of "Paa" to be so soothing, and refreshing, considering its theme, but the simple songs with their melodious tunes work well together on a harmonious soundtrack.
