The Filmfare Awards can be compared to Hollywood's Oscars. The evening recognizes the greatest talents in Indian cinema. Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan were the hosts of this year's awards ceremony. They packed in plenty of laughs as they kept their peers entertained.

The night was a big one for the film "3 Idiots." This movie won Best Film, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor for Boman Irani, Best Dialogue, Best Screenplay, and Best Story.

The Bachchans boycotted the awards ceremony due to the negative rumors about Aishwarya's inability to get pregnant, but Amitabh Bachchan won Best Actor for his role in "Paa."

Vidya Balan took home the award for Best Actress for her work in "Paa." A.R. Rahman was of course a winner as he received the award for Best Music for "Delhi 6."

The stars were all supportive of one another's achievements as they took turn presenting the awards and mingled on the red carpet. The night was also full of amazing clothes and stunning jewels.
