The National Basketball Association has already embraced India as Ranbir Kapoor attended a Knicks game earlier this year. And now it seems like South Asians are bringing the glitz to a basketball game once again as Prita will be singing the national anthem at an NBA game this weekend.
Prita is the first South Asian recording artist to sing the national anthem at a basketball game. Next Sunday the songstress is set to sing both the American and Canadian national anthems at the Toronto Raptors versus Golden State Warriors game. Exciting!
But Prita is not only making waves in Canada, she is also taking over the Indian scene as she is headed to Bollywood. Music producer Vikas Kohli has collaborated with Prita on the remix of the song "Dil Yeh."
"I was listening to one of Prita's solo tracks one day in my studio FatLabs when it became obvious she was the perfect voice for the remix of "Dil Yeh,"" Kohli said, "she definitely brought her strong voice and unique style to the remix," he added.
"Dil Yeh" is featured on the soundtrack for the movie "Shanti Baba Ram and the Dancers of Hope." The song is a lot of fun and will get you dancing! Prita sounds pretty good!
