RDB's Bhangra Forecast

From bringing us one hit Bhangra track after another to working with the biggest stars in Bollywood, the Rhythm Dhol Bass brothers - aka RDB - continue to accomplish larger than life projects.

The three British brothers, Kuly, Manj and Surj, are pioneers in their field. Producers, musicians and singers, these siblings are truly amazing live entertainers.

DH! caught up with the trio to hear their thoughts on what's happening on the Urban Desi and Bhangra scenes right now and to get their advice for all the young talent out there who hope to take over the industry one day.

DH!: Which acts do you see as really good at the moment?
RDB: We think Imran [Khan] did a excellent job on the production of his album, the sound was fresh and his tunes was class, and JK, Parichay.

DH!: Who do you think has potential?
RDB: Has to be Parichay for sure, we feel he has so much to offer as a vocalist, also JK has massive potential as a vocalist and performer.

"It may be a long trip but you will get there in the end, and the music will speak for itself"

DH!: What do you want to see happen on the scene?
RDB: We would love to see more collabs, hip-hop is based around collabs and cross promotion, it would be great to see all the biggest acts get together to make one big track.

DH!: What advice do you have for aspiring Bhangra musicians?
RDB: Work hard and don't give up, it took us 13 years to get here so that just shows it may be a long trip but you will get there in the end, and the music will speak for itself.
