Oh-oh! Things are really heating up in B-town! After Mumbai Mirror claimed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan cannot conceive because of her stomach tuberculosis and that the she is trying to hide the truth, the Bachchans decided to boycott this weekend’s Filmfare Awards!

Although Abhishek Bachchan and wifey Ash have put their baby plans on hold for a while, they have always said that they are taking their sweet time due to their hectic schedules. But when rumors like these start swirling all over B-town, the family had enough!

After learning that the newspaper that still hasn’t offered an apology, was associated with the Filmfare Awards ceremony, Ash, who was scheduled to perform at the event, opted for a quiet night in instead.

And she wasn’t the only Bachchan to stay away from the star-studded evening! Her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan, was also a no-show and he took to his blog to explain why:

"The article was indecent and any man in the world must oppose if such an obscene article is written about a woman in his family. The modesty of a lady in my house was slandered… the article slandered Aishwarya, so it was very difficult to participate in a function organized by the same media house."
