The Pussycat Dolls Take a Break

Lady Gaga performing Hollywood at The Bitter EndNo, the Pussycat Dolls aren’t endorsing a Kit Kat commercial. It’s official. They are on a break! According to band member Melody Thornton, the burlesque beauties are not formally splitting up; they are just taking some time off.

"Right now the Pussycat Dolls are on a break. It's actually a much-needed break. It's like when you're with your sisters for 24 hours a day and you need to take your own shower," she said.

Many fans are sad to see the girls on a hiatus, but at the same time, lead singer Nicole Scherzinger has been working as a solo artist since the start. Last June, she appeared alone on the cover of Desi magazine Anokhi, looking stunning in pink and black lingerie, PCD style.

So what happened? Were the other Dolls jealous of Nicole’s success? Well, while we can’t say for sure what went down in Pussycat Dolls town before the break-up, we will definitely miss their funky music and sexy performances. From hits like "Don’t Cha" and "Stickwitu" to steamy and spicy videos like "Buttons" and "Hush Hush," the group has established themselves as one of the hottest bands on the scene.

The sizzling remix of A.R. Rahman’s "Jai Ho" from "Slumdog Millionaire" was pure east meets west magic and truly illustrated the girls’ diverse talents. At the time, Nicole told Desi Hits! "I was scared, I was afraid to let people hear it, to be honest I really didn't want to do it. I prayed every night to do this right."

Well now it looks like she’ll be doing everything on her own! We wish all the Dolls the best of luck in their solo careers! What do you think of the Pussycat Dolls taking a break? Are you sad to see them go? Share your thoughts!
