Shahin Badar is no newcomer to the Urban Desi scene. She has already collaborated with artists like A. R. Rahman and Twista and taken part in over thirty film and TV soundtracks, including Hollywood and Bollywood movies.

Last year she released the album "Laila," which featured a blend of English, Arabic and South Asian influences. And now she’s back with yet another track and video, "Andheri Raat."

"Andheri Raat," or "Dark Night," is produced by Oblique Cut and directed by Toby Gorman. It talks about a woman who suffers heartbreak and tries to deal with all the angst and negative emotions that ensue.  

DesiHits.com spoke to Shahin about the video and this is what she told us: "My Andheri raat video is Dark and slightly gothic .It captures the emotion's of a woman who dreams of a perfect marriage and is betrayed by her partner on the day of marriage,her partner never returns and her dream is shattered.”
