To most men, sometimes there's nothing cooler to watch than a catfight.  To be honest, everyone just loves watching a fight in general.  When the fight is over one of the stars of "Slumdog Millionaire," you can't afford to miss it.  Kurshida Devade, the mother of Rubina Ali, engaged in fisticuffs with Ali's stepmother, Munni Qureshi, on the streets of Mumbai yesterday.  All of this is over the firestorm that has unraveled over the past few days over her father Rafiq Ali's attempt to allegedly sell her nine year old child.

As we reported yesterday, Rafiq Ali is in a ton of hot water with local authorities and is currently under arrest after allegedly attempting to sell Rubina Ali to a news reporter disguised as a Middle Eastern father looking to partake in child trafficking.  The price Ali was looking at was around $300,000, which he flatly denies.  He has even gone so far as to reportedly say "The Oscars have ruined my life."  'Slumdog Millionaire," as you guys know won eight Oscars including Best Picture, where Rubina Ali shared the stage with the rest of the cast in celebration.

The big question someone has is where was the biological mother for the past seven years?  While nobody wants to ever see their child sold and should fight against that, but being out of the child's life for as long as she has isn't a good thing either.  While in this case, it's better late than never, perhaps Devade should remain in the Rubina Ali's life for her sake.  If nobody else is looking out for her best interest, maybe she should permanently.
