Bollywood’s most anticipated film of the year, Dirty Picture is all set for release early December and the producers have just dropped an exclusive trailer.
After having seen the first look on a traditional poster, we’re now able to view the first trailer, which gives us a better insider as to what the film is expected to look like.

We’ve been reporting on Vidya Balan’s bold character in the film as she portrays the life of Southern siren Silk Smitha; who was popular during the 70’s for her sex-symbol image.
The trailer showcases Vidya mainly starring opposite actor Naseerudin Shah and sports a few revealing outfits. On the basis of the film revolving around the tragedy behind the mask of a sex symbol, we felt the trailer lacks heaviness in its first look.
Nevertheless, a possible reason as to why the trailer lacks boldness has just been announced, ‘Ekta Kapoor's attempts at getting bolder with her films have just been thwarted. The Censor Board has objected to the second trailer of her upcoming film The Dirty Picture. The officials felt that the trailer in question is too explicit and thus not fit for theatrical or television exhibition, unless it is given an A certificate. Certain abusive words in Naseerudin Shah's dialogue have also been muted, but can be available to watch on-line.’
We say, if the first trailer of Dirty Picture is getting censored, how much of the actual film will be available for audiences to watch when it hits theatres.
Do you think the film should be censored? Or should it go on the way it is?
