Kuly from the World Renowned Group RDB Passes Away!

Kuly Ral from the world renowned Bhangra group RDB has passed away. The cause of death has not been announced yet, but cancer as the cause has been suspected. Kuly along with his brothers Manj and Surj traveled around the world making great music, and working with superstars such as rapper Snoop Dogg, and Bollywood star, Akshay Kumar. The UK trio brought us countless hits including, Yamla Pagla Deewana” from the film, Yamla Pagla Deewana, and Sadi Gali” from the movie Tanu Weds Manu. The group delieverd catchy Bhangra tracks with a modern twist. This is a huge loss forthe Brit-Asian, and Indian music industry. Kuly's contributions to the industry will never be forgotten, and he will be missed greatly. He was a great producer, brother, and role model. The festival of Vaisakhi was celebrated all over the world last week, and Prime Minster, David Cameron didn't want to miss the festivities. Vaisakhi was celebrated at 10 Downing Street, and the Prime minister invited Bhangra legend Channi Singh from the music group Alaap, and his daughter, Bhangra star Mona Singh to perform at the event. The Singh's got the crowd pumped and dancing at the event. Everyone was very pleased. Images of the event that was held on April 16th have just been released. In the past we have seen other Indian artists including Bhangra singer, H-Dhami visit 10 Downing street. It's good to see that South Asian's are recognized in the country where they have such a rich history! Full Story

After directing classic films like "Daddy," and dozens of other movies that have impacted the Hindi Film industry, Mahesh Bhatt says goodbye as a Hindi film director. The 64-year-old filmmaker has decided to retire as a director, and focus the rest of career on discovering talent. Championing actor, Emraan Hashmi, and "Blood Money" director Vishal Mahadkar, Bhatt enjoys making dreams come true for young talent. Bhatt is currently endorsing actress Esha Gupta who is set to star in "Jannat 2." Mahesh Bhatt brought to life heartfelt emotions in the serious films he has directed. His talent is globally recognized. The director's projects also include, "Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin," and, "Zakm." We are sad to see Mahesh Bhatt stop directing. The strong female singer is sounding better than ever and we can't wait to hear more from her this year. Check out what else Nindy has in the works for 2012 when she dished to us exclusively today! DH!: What was your favorite part about working with Culture Shock? Nindy: There is so much energy with them in the studio. All three produce and all 4 of us had ideas on the track it was amazing to see it come together. We were like a one big family we fought we got upset then we all forgave each other and the end result was the magic of save the world LOL. DH!: Would you like to work with the group again? 100% sunny, baba and lomaticc are part of the extended rdb family. We had a great time collaborating on this track. Fan response has been overwhelming! It's nice too when artists of different styles can come together on a track and the fans love it. The chemistry with culture shock is there for sure! DH!: What upcoming solo projects do you have this year? Getting ready to release my first solo album NINDYPENDANT which will have all my previous singles Akhian, 2 seater, Deewani and now Save The World (remix) and some amazing new tracks. Look out for a diverse album with a lot of collaborations on it. The support from the industry has been flattering. I'm nervous, confident and very excited to get the album out this summer and start the tour. Oh and not to mention more Bollywood tracks and music videos that are confirmed, coming up too.
