Asin has beaten Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor to the position of Bollywood's Most Promising Actress in 2008. A leading website has adjudged her as the deserving candidate for the title. Her performance in her very first Bollywood film- Ghajini apparently floored the maximum number of people. Anushka, Deepika, Sonam and Genelia D'Souza came in on second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.
